MY NEW BOOK- Confessions of an AP Student

Confessions of an AP Student-Coming Soon

And now here comes the reason I started this blog in the first place...my book!

Confessions of an AP Student is a thrilling memoir of my use and abuse of Adderall, dealing with my best friend's leukemia, my time as a drug dealer and evading the scene, and finally, how I detoxed from a poly drug addiction without anyone knowing; keeping my GPA in tact in the process.

Why is it that the general stresses of AP classes, SAT and ACT's, and applying for colleges is so difficult and stressful, that the best of the best turn to highly addictive prescription drugs just to make the grade. The infamous Adderall and Ritalin generation is upon us, and it seems as if it will map the American pastime for the future....and the future is tweaking hard.

How can we stop this horrible cycle, of using pills to study, and progressively using more frequently, until finally someone needs it just to go about their daily routine. Confessions of an AP Student maps the road to addiction taking such a risk as popping pills to make the grade can lead you down, as well as demonstrating why it holds you back in the long run. From the perspective of a kid who had never touched a drug in his life, but that was over stressed in school, and his (my) journey from normal, to a multi drug user, and finally to a partying, paranoid drug dealer. Confessions of an AP Student marks the dark side of education, and why it's important not to bite off more than you can chew in our over stressed and over motivated school system.

Basic Summary: As an overly stressed out honors student with an upcoming SAT, the stresses of upper level classes and pressure put on by parents turn a normal, sober teenager to drugs just to stay on top. Soon adhering to the common hooked philosophy of "I'm just gonna try it one time for the SAT." One time quickly became a weekly endeavor, and weekly into a daily, poly drug addiction. From the perspective of an addict trying to keep up his GPA and get clean in the process, maintain a drug dealing scheme throughout his school, and finally, deal with the emotional stresses of a best friends leukemia and father's autism, "Confessions of an AP Student" maps the AP Student stressed kind of life, and warns us of the dangers of putting grades above all else.
