Speed Reading-Truly Maximizing your Brain

Speed Reading-Your Brain to the Max

Our brains are capable of so much than we let ourselves to believe sometimes, and to this, nothing is more true than acquiring the art of speed reading.

Speed Reading refers to the ability to read faster (DUH?!?!) but actually has a hidden meaning that most people don't know about. Speed Reading refers to the ability to turn off the little voice in your head that says the words to you as you read them, and instead, learning to just comprehend the words as you see them by just visual cues. By doing so, you'll be able to read faster, finish books in a matter of hours "see how I read a book in five hours", and feel more confidence inside about your overall learning ability.

Here's the thing, speed reading is a LEARNED skill. This isn't something that purely savants can do, and surely isn't something for strictly geniuses. Through practice, and through mindfulness of the little voice in your head each and every time you read, YOU TOO can learn to speed read. If you want to be a genius, it starts with fluid intelligence (ability to learn information), and through speed reading, you can and will do just that. Imagine being the smartest in your class, or having the professor assign you a book, and finishing it in just a few short hours. You can do it, all it takes is a little practice and determination, and you'll be well on your way to reading hundreds of books, and confidently calling yourself a genius.

Here's how I'd start....

Start with simple articles on the internet, something interesting like sports, music, whatever your hobby is, etc. So that at least what you're starting speed reading with is interesting, it'll give you a motivation boost, and make it easier to comprehend for your first trial with speed reading. Slowly begin to quiet the voice in your mind, and read only with your eyes, visualizing the words as they fly by. It's okay if you don't comprehend everything in whatever you're reading, it's just practicing for speed reading.

Remember, no matter how bad you are at first, it can only get better

You will see progress each and every day, and namely after you've had a good nights sleep. As you practice, your mind will get more used to reading just with your eyes as you sleep, and the intensified reading speed will follow suit to its fullest extent. I only hope you can gain as much out of speed reading as I did, and heck, feel free to speed read some of my blog posts...it'll help out both of us, and mine are fairly easy to read!

Final Thoughts:

As always, leave your thoughts below ma peepz, and I'm sure you'll get a ton out of this, and speed reading my previous, and further blog posts. Go get em tiger;)
