The Tony Robbins Challenge-Read one nonfiction book a day for one year

READING!!!!

Tony Robbins attributes his extreme success, mostly in part to his stellar motivation, speaking classes with his mentor, and his vast ability to require knowledge. Tony Robbins sites himself reading one book a day for an entire year about psychology, making his understanding of human behaviors ASTOUNDING.

In the midst of taking on this challenge right now, I can honestly say that at first, yes, I thought it was freaking impossible. However, after just a few short weeks of it, reading one book a day (or at least almost a whole book a day), I can already feel my mental processes speeding up, and my general, whole knowledge about everything increasing on an exponential level.

If after checking out my speed reading blog post (the only real way to get anything close to reading one book a day) you're interested, try it for yourself. Whether it's an ebook about stock portfolio's, about WWII, or even sociology/psychology, you will feel yourself getting better with each and every day that passes. Here's some tips and suggestions to revitalize your mind and/or a routine to better help you read one book a day.

Start reading a few hours before you go to bed
By optimizing your sleep schedule around when you're most efficient (I myself am an extreme night owl), you can make your reading speed more efficient, and stick to a better schedule.

Read early in the morning
If you're a homemaker, or a University student with late classes, you may want to read at the crack of dawn for a few hours before you take your morning jog or eat breakfast. Whatever the case, having a schedule can sometimes help you ensure that you get a book done everyday.

Drink Tea

The caffeine content, hot liquid and antioxidants will revitalize you, calming you down, making your mind more alert, and helping you with your speed reading once you're refreshed.

Meditate
Meditation, even ten to twenty minutes, can revitalize the mind and allow you to read more than you otherwise would have. Try it next time you're in the middle of a book.

Try a nootropic
Things like piracetam, pramiracetam, phenylpiracetam, noopept etc. Can all revitalize your mind and speed it up with side effects less than even caffeine. long term they are extremely effective, and will help with comprehension and reading speed.

Have Fun with it!
Even if it starts to get boring, at least pretend you're having fun, it will help the time go by, slightly elate your mood, and speed up your mental processes to help you get cracking on those last few pages of the day.

At the end of the year, whether you've failed or succeeded in your one book a day challenge, just know that you will have read a hell of a lot more than if you had never attempted it. Knowledge awaits you, go on do it now!
